Attorney Sean Logue Named National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40
Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney Sean Logue today was named as one of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.
The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 is a professional organization composed of top trial lawyers from each state or region who are younger than the age of 40.
“It is an honor for me to be included,” Logue said.
The invitation-only membership is for attorneys practicing civil and criminal law who “exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer under the age of 40.” To be considered, an attorney must be in compliance to the bar in their state and national Rule 4-7, have a good reputation with no disciplinary actions taken against them, and be attorneys of influence. Lawyers receiving this membership are considered to be the best in the country; each endeavors to embrace the best skills, experience, knowledge, and success in the United States. Few are chosen for this prestigious designation.
Logue received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College with honors in Political Science. He earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law. During law school, he clerked in the litigation departments of two large law firms in Pittsburgh.
After graduation, he accepted a position in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Criminal Prosecutions Unit, where he helped prepare child predator and organized crime cases for trial.
Logue later served as an associate of master trial lawyer Donald I. Shrager before opening his own law practice, where he’s handled hundreds of criminal and civil litigation matters throughout southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. He has represented many people in various kinds of criminal cases, such as traffic offenses, sexual assault, homicides, DUI and drug crimes, and other white collar crimes.
Those who are selected for the distinction go through a process that involves multiple phases and includes peer nominations and third-party research.
“It is our mission to promote a unique and professional networking opportunity for young lawyers, while developing progressive ideas to pursue justice for those injured by the negligence of others, to educate the public about the importance of access to courts that are free of bias and undue influence, and to protect the right of trial by jury,” the National Trial Lawyers website states. UpdatesIn 2015, Sean Logue was also awarded the Lead Counsel Rating from LawInfo, which is given to attorneys who have a good reputation among their peers, a significant amount of experience in their specific field(s) of expertise, and have no disciplinary record. The LawInfo organization was developed to help pair people and businesses with the attorneys that best meet their needs. The only attorneys and law firms the organization lists are those who have achieved Lead Counsel rating. The rating gives those looking for a lawyer a tool to help them evaluate the available attorneys and choose the best one for their situation.
In 2017, Sean Logue was accepted into the Ohio Bar, and in 2018, he opened an office in Youngstown, Ohio. He has maintained his Top 40 Under 40 status, and is rated “Superb” by AVVO. He has received a peer rating of “AV Preeminent” from Martindale-Hubbell. Martindale-Hubbell is an organization that facilitates peer review ratings made by members of the judiciary and bar who give their ratings anonymously.
Attorney Logue remains active in his community, and has been appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania to sit as a trustee on the board of The University of California, Pennsylvania. He has received an award from the Washington County Bar for his work representing low-income residents of the county.
Attorney Logue maintains his memberships in the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Bar Associations, as well as the Allegheny County and Washington County Bar Associations. He continues to be a member of the National College for DUI Defense ® and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
