“It’s a tremendous honor for me to be appointed as a member of the Council of Trustees of the California University of Pennsylvania,” he said. “I very much look forward to getting to work!”
California University of Pennsylvania’s campus is spread across 294 acres in California Borough in Washington County – which is about 35 minutes away from downtown Pittsburgh. The approximately 38 buildings have undergone renovation and expansion since 2000, thanks to private and state grants the university received. The university also has a satellite campus in Canonsburg.

Global online courses are available for degrees at the Graduate level. The university offers more than 200 programs.
The university’s athletic teams play at the NCAA Division II level. Many of the school’s alumni have gone on to play and/or coach professional football. Sports represented by the university include baseball, track and field, golf, softball, basketball, and football on 18 men’s and women’s teams.
A member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, California University of Pennsylvania serves more than 8,600 graduate and undergraduate students each year, a number that continues to rise.
Since 2004, California University of Pennsylvania has been included in The Princeton Review as part of its “Best in the Northeast” listing – one that highlights and recognizes the best regional universities in the northeast part of the United States of America.
Logue’s term on the California University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees runs through Feb. 25, 2021. He will work collectively with other board members, as well as via the Administration and Finance Committee on which he will serve, to do everything from raising funds to reviewing academic programs. Some of these duties will include approving the school’s budget and policies, and evaluating the president’s performance as well as his own, and that of his fellow board members. Appointed by the governor and approved by the State Senate, a second term is possible for Logue when this one is finished. Logue’s name was suggested as a possible board member by one of Pennsylvania’s state senators.
